Visitors get general reading material plus a form, and the form forwards a homeowner's wish to hear from a contractor to one independent local business. The site acts as no contractor's agent and is not itself a contractor, waterproofing company, plumber or salesperson. Pricing, inspecting, bidding on, performing or guaranteeing work all fall outside its role. It never presents, negotiates or signs a contract, arranges no appointments, takes no deposits and has no part in insurance matters. The price, contract terms, permits, payments and warranty are settled between you and the contractor alone.

The site makes no promise about any contractor's workmanship, prices, credentials or insurance. Before you commit, ask a contractor working at a City of Milwaukee address for its City home improvement contractor license, look up State Dwelling Contractor credentials at app.wi.gov/licensesearch if it will pull a building permit, ask for a certificate of liability insurance, and have any plumbing done by a licensed plumber with a permit. Under Wisconsin's home improvement rule (ATCP 110), a job you pay toward before it is finished needs a written contract signed by all parties.

Any money the site earns comes from contractors as a flat advertising fee. No homeowner pays, and none is given cash, gifts or other value.

Every guide, cost range and tool on the site, the checker and calculator included, is provided as is and for general reading. Each figure names a source and year and may age. Treat none of it as advice on law, insurance, engineering or money.

To the extent Wisconsin law permits, neither the site nor its owner answers for loss tied to browsing these pages, acting on what they say or working with a contractor. Fake requests, attempts to disrupt the site and copying its content for commercial use are not permitted.

These terms follow Wisconsin law, and disputes over them go before a Wisconsin court. A revision takes effect the moment it appears here.
